A thousand apologies for the word "Proof" plastered all over my face. I have to make a mental reminder to buy these photos, since I actually like the majority of them!

It's so cool to see what I looked like while competing! 

I still don't think I look like myself, but I don't mind the person on the stage.

Winners

So tonight were the Miss/Teen Moorpark and Miss/Teen Simi Valley pageants!

My sister competed for Miss Teen Moorpark and did an AMAZING job, walking away with 1rst runner up, the community service award and the academic achievement award. I'm so proud of her and I think she's really proud of herself as well.

We're all planning on rooting for her as she competes for my title in the fall (at least, we think she is...)

As much as I complain about it, I really do enjoy making appearances as Miss SB. It's actually a lot of fun I love watching the pageants and guessing who the new Queens will be.

Tonight was especially fun because I knew a lot of the girls competing, so it was nice to be able to root for my friends (and family!)

Special thanks to Justine for coming out and supporting Kate as well. You were the highlight of my night. Adoreeeee you Beanie. :)

Jillian, it wasn't the same without you! You would've loved it!

Nail Biter

My sister is competing for Miss Teen Moorpark tomorrow and I'm so nervous for her! I really hope she does well.
She's such a sweet and caring individual who, for some reason, never gets the recognition she really deserves.
I'm crossing my fingers that tomorrow everything goes right and she goes to sleep tomorrow night with a crown on her head.

I'm the crazy pageant sister.
But the truth is, I'm proud of her with any outcome. She really is blossoming into quite the amazing young woman and I'm proud to say we're related.

Good luck Kate! Kick ass!

Miss Moorpark

My sister is running for Miss Teen Moorpark this Saturday at the High Street Theater. 

Anyone who is interested in going, tickets cost $20 and all the money goes back to scholarships for the girls. It goes to an extremely good cause. 

Come and support my sister and all the other girls competing for Miss Teen Moorpark, Miss Moorpark, Miss Teen Simi and Miss Simi. It should be an excellent show, filled with talent and pretty gowns. 

You'll also be able to laugh at me in my crown and sash in the audience. Perfect!

Lethargic

I can't believe how much I miss all the girls from Miss California. 

Over the course of ten days, we bonded so much more than I really bonded with anyone new this past year. 

Each girl was so amazing and unique in her own way, and it was so nice spending quality time with people who all had there lives in (somewhat) order.

Now, as the pictures all go up on facebook, I look back on all our smiling faces and grin at the new memories I have. 

No one will really ever understand it, unless they go for themselves, but it truly was a life changing experience. I'll treasure it forever, my committee was right. 

Now, I just have to remember to hand back all the stuff I borrowed to Sandy. 

And on July 11th, it's the Miss/Miss Teen Moorpark pageant!! Everyone should go and support the local girls competing (including my sister!)

Then, on August 8th, we've got another parade! The three girls and I will be riding proudly at the Ventura County Fair, then will be roaming around and taking picture/signing autographs/riding rides around one of my favorite events in the area. 

I'm so excited!
