Almost Time

I'm leaving in the morning!

I still have a little bit left to pack, but I've set my alarm for 7am.
Gonna get up bright and early and get things done.
I'm still stressing, but not as much as I was this morning when I totally broke down in front of my dad. Not my greatest moment ever...

Jillian and I are caravaning up to Fresno at 11am. We're gonna stop for coffee along the way.
My dad is taking my car to get an oil change and to fill up the tank in the morning, so hopefully all will go well.
Our goal is to get up there and relax for the rest of the day. This week is going to be so hectic and this will be the only quiet time we're really going to get.
I still need to find out what time Jansie is getting in, to see if I should move my stuff in there tomorrow night or just wait until sometime on Saturday...

It's so weird, I can't wrap my mind around the fact that I'm competing for Miss California. I'm not going there expecting anything, just going for the experience (and the sweatshirt...I'm so excited for the sweatshirt).
But still, it's not a place I would've ever pictured myself being.
I'm so excited for it all to be over, for the nails to be off, the tan lines to be out in full force and the Taco Bell back in my diet (just not as much as it used to be...)

I've packed my entire collection of sweats/leggings/zip-up hoodies since I have no idea about how many we're going to need and how long we'll be working out for. Also, I have no idea what we're supposed to wear when we're prepping for the prelim days, so I figured I'd prefer to be comfortable instead of anything else. I think I'm going to bring my TR's, my Rock & Republics, my Sevens, etc. with me as well since all of those are nicely made.
I should probably make a mental note to bring several "nice" shirts up there with me as well. (Along with the half a dozen or so garment bags stuffed to the brim with gowns and cocktail dresses.)

Once this week is over, I can make this blog public!
No more hiding in the shadows of the internet, avoiding the gazes of browsing judges.

Freedom!
